Questionable Teachings of Islam: One Billion People Deceived

In an effort to preserve the Islamic faith, the Qur'an encourages Muslims to advance their religion through all means possible including eliminating enemies by means of terror and giving one's life through martyrdom.

The martyr mentality is so extremely embedded in the mindset of Islamic fundamentalists that his/her main goal in life is to do what the Qur'an commands without question. Better explained, it is what the Islamic clerics command and preach through intense indoctrination. Muslim youngsters are now being commanded to participate in jihad against non-Muslims in one form or another with the greater honor being that of becoming a martyr.
How ironic that such religious leaders are not willing  to lead by example.

In the final analysis, Islam takes on the same approach that many other religions do by using promised rewards for those who remain faithful and punishments and damnation for those who stray. Such religious control is proof enough that many really want to have eternal life in paradise and are willing to give their lives for what they believe to be true.

As an example, a religious ruling recently published on an Islamic website grants the permissibility of martyrdom; it states, in part: "...seeking to be killed and pursuing martyrdom are legitimate and praiseworthy acts."

The ruling continues by differentiating suicide from martyrdom in an apparent effort to encourage Muslims to become martyrs for their religion:  "The name 'suicide-operations' used by some is inaccurate, and in fact this name was chosen by the Jews to discourage people from such endeavors. How great is the difference between one who commits suicide - because of his unhappiness, lack of patience and weakness or absence of iman (faith and trust in Allah) and has been threatened with Hell-Fire - and between the self-sacrificer who embarks on the operation out of strength of faith and conviction, and to bring victory to Islam, by sacrificing his life for the upliftment of Allah's word!"

It is evident that such religious rulings used in the indoctrination of young impressionable Muslims will continue to encourage the martyr mindset, thus, perpetuating suicide-bombings and terror strikes throughout the world.
