Questionable Teachings of Islam: One Billion People Deceived

Here is a comparative look at how the Genesis Account of Creation varies from the Islamic theology outlined in the previous page:

Genesis Account of Creation: (Gen: 1:1-31)

Prior to creation: Complete darkness, earth was without form, and void, the Spirit of God moved upon the surface of the "waters:"

Day 1: Created Light - dividing the light from the darkness;

Day 2: Created a Firmament that divided waters above and waters below -
            God called the firmament Heaven;

Day 3:  Gathered waters under the firmament of heaven into one place,
             waters receded and dry land appeared - forming land and seas,
             development of seed-bearing vegetation, herbs, fruit bearing trees;

Day 4:   Created celestial universe: Sun, Moon, Planets, Stars;

Day 5:   Created sea life, fish and fowl

Day 6:  Created living animals and lastly created man to have dominion
             as a steward over the earth and all living creatures upon the earth;

Day 7:   God rested from the handiwork of His Creation.(Shabbat / Sabbath)

Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them.
...And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made. (Gen:2:1-3)

Analysis #1:

The Creator God of Islam and the Creator God of the Judeo / Christian faiths are not the same Deity.
